What gives a man’s face a masculine appearance? A strong chin and jawline. These defining features can have a profound effect on
Specialized implants and facial filling injections can enhance the appearance of a chin that is small or recessed, define a weak or hidden jawline, and bring the lower proportions of the face in balance with other facial features.
What are chin implants?
Men of many ages and circumstances undergo cosmetic chin and jaw enhancement to attain facial harmony.
There are several surgical and non-surgical methods that can be used to create a stronger, more symmetrical jawline and chin.
Dr. Sayeg may perform injections with hyaluronic acid fillers as an office-based procedure, or chin and jaw implants may be surgically implanted to enhance the angles, size or projection of facial features. Jaw and chin implants are placed using incisions inside the mouth.
Am I a good candidate for chin implants?
In addition to having realistic expectations regarding the outcome of the procedure, Dr. Sayeg will discuss with you your reasons for wanting the procedure, as well as your overall health, including whether you are a smoker, are taking medications or vitamins.
How long is recovery from chin implants?
In the instance of surgery, recovery ranges from one to seven days; however, you’ll be able to be active the day of the surgery. If you are having filler injections, there will be little to no downtime. The sutures that close the incision site inside the mouth are absorbable and do not require removal. Dr. Sayeg advises patients to be on a liquid diet for the first day and on soft, smooth foods for the next day or two to avoid irritation around the incision site.
After swelling and bruising have subsided, you will see a stronger chin that is symmetrical with your other facial features, or a jawline that is more defined.
